This year is really kicking for me. I have many engagements to attend and I love being busy. I know that I am most busy at home and I will not forget about that but times like this are as exciting as the chores I do at home. Anyway, one of my friends delivered her baby last month. They were expecting to deliver it before Santa delivers the gifts on midnight but it did not happen. They would really love it if their baby was born on the day Jesus was born so she will inherit all the positive attitude Jesus have. It’s an old saying for us Catholics….I wish that was true because every child whose birthday fall on that day will be like a Saint on Earth…:)

They are planning on having her baptism this January 24th, my friend’s birthday, so they will have a double celebration. I think that is a good move for parents like them because they will not only celebrate it together but it is also practical, money is not easy to get these days, you know? I am thinking of giving unique baby gifts for that child who will also be my godchild. I also love being a Godmother, in that way I can be their second mother. We are like tied by faith and religion. There are many baby gifts out there, but giving something unique and might be remembered for the rest of their lives are the best gifts you can ever give.

Before the New Year even stepped into my mind and my life, I am thinking of a plan on how I can make the New year more lovely, more delightful and more exciting not just for me as a woman, mother and a wife but also for my whole family and the women out there who constantly believe that I should do this, thanks for reading you guys, it means a lot and I hope that this coming year will be a fulfilling and successful year for both working and stay-at-home mothers. There will be lots of adventures that we will encounter, both good and bad but we are strong willed women and we can do what else is there for us to face.

Having said so, beauty and fashion will still be present in our everyday lives. The working women can identify more with clothes, especially the women suits they are going to wear at work, shoes and handbags as well. Coordination and affiliations of these different accesories can well be managed by the women of today. As for the stay-at-home mothers, they can still wear clothes as far as fashion is concerned but they do not have to wear suits like the working moms, they can still experiment on putting on some items that they got old to or buy some simple accesories that will still say that they are catchy and timeless.

My grandparents are going to celebrate the Christmas and New Year with us. This is the 2nd time they are doing this. Last year, they spent it with my aunt’s place. A few years back, they only spent it by themselves. They do not usually want parties and lots of people during the celebration but we only tried to convinced them to spend the holidays with us, to make it more memorable for the both of us. I like having them around even though they do not like noises a lot because I get the chance to spend more time with them now that they are old.

And speaking of old, my grandparents are very particular with the Beds they are going to sleep into. They asked us if we have this certain Bed like the ones they have back home. They said they only sleep on those kinds of beds. My grandfather is not at all particular with that, only my grandmother. She was born with a silver spoon in her mouth and she only likes Wooden Beds from United Kingdom. Even though she cannot fly abroad, she ordered online her very infamos bed and to tell you honestly, she got quite a taste there.

Staying at home is as fulfilling as working for the family. That’s what I realize when I started staying here and take care of the household. Having fun and taking care of the kids and my husband was all I can think of everyday that I exist. It is the happiest moment of my life when I see my kids grow right before my eyes. I am sure that many of you who’s reading this might agree and some might disagree because we all have our own opinion. As for me, this was and this will forever be my journey to knowing my kids better.

Let me tell you a story that will surely make you laugh and be inspired after reading that first paragraph. I swore to myself and even in front of my parents that I will never be a stay-at-home mother when I get married. What about my pride? I am also able to work and bring money in that family that I will participate in. I will not let my husband pay all the bills by himself. Then, I ate all those words after my pregnancy got risky for the first time. I started going to the church frequently and sang worship songs and it made my faith in Him stronger. I promised that I will take care of my baby no matter what it will cost me and the family. That was the beginning of it all, stay at home mom and loving it.

When I knew that I was having a baby, I called my mother first instead of my husband because she has been waiting for this to happen for a long time. My husband and I never planned to have a baby after we got married, all we want to do at first is to have a happy marriage for the first couple of years and then have a baby maybe three to five years after. But God moved in mysterious ways, maybe He thought that we can handle such big responsibility and we can both share that bundle of joy as early as today and He doesn’t want it to come later. We sure were very happy and we have stable jobs and financially, we are fine so we think that this is another blessing.

I started making a scrap book out of my pregnant situation. You cannot explain the feeling that there is someone living inside you. It’s like a big responsibility that you need to take care of yourself big time because it will surely affect the one inside. Then the days passed and weeks and I was on my way to my ninth month. My friends decided to throw me a baby shower and celebrate my soon-to-be-mom job. I was excited about the party because I know I will be receiving numerous gifts for my baby. This will help a lot because we are saving money for the delivery. I had so many gifts that I unwrapped, there were clothes, Cloth Diapers, which by the way the first time I knew exist. I only know disposable diapers. The thing about the cloth diaper is that it will not make a rush on your baby’s skin and it will also help clean the environment, and so many other stuff. I just could not wait until the baby comes out.

Christmas is coming fast! Do you already have a special dessert that will wow your guest, yet leave you time to celebrate too? Well, if you still do not have, I would like to suggest an ice cream bombe which looks and tastes spectacular and is amazingly easy to prepare- all you need is some freezer space.

Essentially we are looking to make a layered, semi-spherical ice cream cake. To do this we need a nest of steel or plastic bowls of decreasing size of the finished bombe. You can choose three or four bowls of ever decreasing size to correspond with the number of flavor layers. We then choose the ice cream flavors. I tend to favor the traditional vanilla for the outside layer, and then work my way in with gelato or ice cream that complement each other. So, we can go fruity with mango, strawberry, guava, and other fresh flavors; or for richer intensity with hazelnut, chocolate and perhaps a touch of pistachio to freshen it up a bit.

This special dessert is very festive, yet easy on you. Have fun decorating your table with Christmas ornaments and candles, build a fire in the fire place, turn on the Christmas lights on the tree, and enjoy these special times with your family and friends.

Decorating and maintaining the cleanliness and the design for class of my house is one of my priorities in life aside from being a wonderful mom and a wife. They say that you will know a person base on their specific something. Like for example, if your house looks clean and net inside and out, the people living there and the one managing its cleanliness and beauty have a good inner self and clean inside as well. Well, I don’t need to flaunt that kind of attitude that I have because it’s innate to me.

Even though, I work so hard in the office, I make sure that I work as double hard as possible at home where my kids and my husband’s appreciation means more to me than everything. I do this every weekend or once I need to place somethings at home so that it will be updated at once. I base my decorations on the style of the house and the ambiance I want my family and guests to feel whenever they are at home. Like my ceiling fans, they are all considered as personalized because I hand picked all of them. I believe that organizations and details are important, too.

In the kitchen area, I placed craftmade fans. I feel that the kitchen is my part of the house and I like doing all DIY stuff so craftsmade are best for it. I spend most of my time in the kitchen, preparing food, cooking, spending quality time with my kids and even my resting period. I feel more at home ( whenever I’m alone) in here. The kids’ study room has fanimation ceiling fans. They look cool and my kids loves the different shapes and sizes of it. They feel that they like to spend more time in here studying and bonding because they can play around with it. I advised moms out there to do the same, base on their budget of course, because it will not only look organized but also it will be more fun if you personalized teh items at home.

My father won two tickets of an extravagant trip to Sedona, yesterday on their company’s Christmas party. I can see the glow in his eyes while telling us how did he won the prize and how much he wanted to be there, but he does not have enough money to spend and time to share, that is why he is so thankful that he got the prize. I do not have any idea about Sedona; all I know is that it is located at Arizona.

My husband and I are married for almost eight years now. I must say that I am happy and contented being his wife. But as a married woman, everyone dreams of being a mom. We have planned to have a baby after one year of our marriage but luck hasn’t come our way yet. We waited seven years and at long last, our prayers were answered. Waiting has finally ended for us. I am now holding the result of my pregnancy test and seeing it positive makes me want to shout for joy.

I am holding a life inside of me. I am now a mother. I cannot wait for my baby to arrive. Whether my baby is a girl or a boy, it does not matter as long as the baby is in a healthy condition. I heard some mommies-to-be said that having a baby is a little frightening and they are not alone in this. I am now experiencing an incredible joy alternating with feelings of doubt. But I am still maintaining a positive mental attitude. I know this is important for me and especially for my baby’s development. That is why I try to relax and enjoy my new condition. I know that this is the time of real satisfaction and happiness for me.
